The Shawshank Redemption is a classic tale of tenacity, motivation

The 1994 film The Shawshank Redemption, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, has been a favorite of many individuals over the years because of its intricate plot line and inspirational ending.

When Robbins' character Andy Dufresne is charged with the murder of his wife and her lover, he is sent to prison on two life sentences but maintains his innocence, despite his tough demeanor.

He forms a close friendship with another inmate, Red (Freeman), who becomes a close confidant. Also, Red helps Dufresne obtain some key items that later allow him to fulfill his destiny.

The story is a shining example of what an individual can do with a strong spirit and a few friends by their side.

Author and philosopher Ilchi Lee says that personal responsibility is the path toward a meaningful existence, and that all individuals have the power to control their minds and their lives. All it takes is a little effort.

Individuals seeking a motivational movie should consider viewing The Shawshank Redemption, but beware that there are some violent scenes.
